What it is: Family farm and pumpkin patch in Elk Grove, CA.
Ages Good For: All
Location: 6532 Point Pleasant Rd. Elk Grove, CA 95757
Birthday Parties Offered? No, but this is a good spot to stop when celebrating a fall birthday with the family.
Highlights: The Keema Family Pumpkin Farm may be one of Elk Grove’s best fall time hidden gems. The location and size of the farm bring in fewer crowds than nearby more well known pumpkin farms. And that is a big plus if you want fewer crowds but still want to experience the true pumpkin farm experience.
The corn maze is perfect for young kids as its just confusing enough to be an adventure but not so large you and the kids will get frustrated.
There are usually chicks to hold and cows, pigs, and rabbits to see and pet. All the animal cages are exceptionally well-kept and clean, a sight not often seen at other local pumpkin farms.
There’s also a sand pit with toys, pedal cars, and hay stack to climb.
The main event of the trip is the hay ride to the hidden pumpkin patch where you get to pick your pumpkin right off the vine.
Restrooms: Port-a-potty only. Sinks with soap and water are also available.
Tips: Wear sunscreen or a hat. Other than the picnic tables, there’s very little shade.
Bring the camera! You’ll find many spots that make a picturesque background for fall family photos.
The Keema Family Pumpkin Farm keeps their schedule up to date on their Facebook page.
